3 DCC Blocks
NOTE Brake test should not be performed with a load attached, or when the hoist is at
end limit switch.
Incorrect configuration of BrakeTest block and "brake test data set" can be
dangerous
Material damage as well as injury to personnel can occur.
WARNING
Configure the "brake test data set" and BrakeTest block properly according to
application's requirements.
After configuring the "brake test data set" correctly, user should check output
parameters r22060 (boOut_BrakeTestActive (p820..p840)) to confirm that the
correct data set, the ''brake test data set'' is being used, and r22061
(boOut_BrakeTestReady) to confirm that the brake test is ready to be performed.
At this point, the user can issue a travel command from the master switch in either
the positive or negative direction. Check p22062
(boOut_TravelCommand_BrakeTest) to ensure the BrakeTest DCC is getting a
travel command.
Once a travel command is issued, the setpoint speed parametrized in p22027
(rSetpointSpeedLimit (%)) achieved over the ramp up time parameterized in
p22025 (SpeedSetpoint_rRampUpTime (ms)). If the brakes are capable of holding
the motor shaft at a speed less than the threshold parameterized in p22030
(rBrakeTestSpeedThreshold (%)) for the time parameterized in p22031
(BrakeTestOK_rDelayTime (ms)), then the brake test is succeseful. If the brakes
are not capable of holding the motor shaft at a speed less than the threshold, for
the time parameterized in p22032 (BrakeTestFail_rDelayTime (ms)) then the brake
test fails.
NOTE To determine how much torque is being developed, verify with a device trace.
Adjust p22025, p22026 and p22027 accordingly
