3.12.4.4.2 Connecting the Northbound RS485 Monitoring Network Cable (Modbus-
RTU Protocol)
When the host monitors smart cooling products over northbound RS485 ports, it
takes 3 seconds to collect all data of a single smart cooling product. Therefore, the
time required for collecting data from
seconds. If the time required for the host to collect data of all smart cooling
products does not meet performance requirements, the smart cooling products
can be grouped for data collection. For example, if the host needs to collect data
of all smart cooling products within 12 seconds, it is recommended that every four
smart cooling products be divided into one group. Connect the COM-IN port on
the main control module of the first smart cooling product in each group to the
host.
Procedure
Step 1 Prepare the COM network cable by referring to
Figure 3-64 Pin sequence of the COM network cable
Step 2 Group smart cooling products for monitoring based on performance requirements
and connect the monitoring network cables.
Issue 04 (2021-03-15)
If there is no teamwork control, connect the COM_IN port on each smart
cooling product to the customer's monitoring system.
In CAN networking, connect the COM_IN port on the first device in each
monitoring group to the monitoring device.
