Enter the master number you programmed in Part I above (e.g., 700) + HOLD .

Press CONF to exit program 0201 .
Part III: Set Up the Voice Mail Ports
Assign VX Ports
First, you must assign the ports connected to your Voice Mail as Voice Mail (VX) ports.
Digital VANGARD systems use digital station ports programmed as 2-OPX ports (1801-Circuit Type
= 21). Be sure to set up the Voice Mail programming for both 2-OPX ports (e.g., 314 and 515).
All other NVM-Series Voice Mail systems use analog ports (1801-Circuit Type = 15). (Note that in
DS1000 the circuit type for the system's analog ports is automatically set up by default.)

Enter the programming mode. You see:
USER: nnn
ENTER PROGRAM?
2.
Enter 1802 + HOLD . You see:
1802:EXT OPT PART I
STATION#?nnn
3.
Enter the extension number of the system's first Voice Mail port (e.g., 317) + HOLD . You see:
1802:STA:nnn
ALLOW DND?nnn
4.
Press VOL Dn until you see:
1802:STA:nnn
VOICE MAIL PORT?nn
5.
Dial 9 (for yes) + HOLD + CONF . You see:
1802:EXT OPT PART I
STATION#?nnn
6.
Go back to step 3 and enter the extension number of the next Voice Mail port (e.g., 318), then repeat
steps 4 and 5 for that port (and any additional ports required).
Press CONF to exit program 1802.
Assign VX Ports to the Voice Mail Hunt Group
Next, you must assign each Voice Mail port to the Voice Mail UCD Hunting Group (set up in Part I above).
1.
Enter the programming mode. You see:
USER: nnn
ENTER PROGRAM?
2.
Enter 1807 + HOLD . You see:
1807:EXT OPT PART II
STATION#?nnn
3.
Enter the extension number of the system's first Voice Mail port (e.g., 317) + HOLD . You see:
1807:STA:nnn
STA VOICE CALL?nnn
4.
Press VOL Up until you see:
1807:STA:nnn
HUNT TYPE?nnnn
5.
Dial 5 (for UCD) and press VOL Up . You see:
1807:STA:nnn
MASTER NUM?nnnn
6.
Enter the Voice Mail master number you programmed in Part I + CONF .
7.
Go back to step 3 and enter the extension number of the next Voice Mail port (e.g., 318), then repeat
steps 4 and 5 for that port (and any additional ports required).
