4.6 LED signaling of the SENTRON circuit protection devices
Both for exceeding limit values and for warnings when the end of service life is reached,
there are parameters which can be set to adjust the threshold of the alarms or to switch off
the alarm completely. If the alarm is switched off by the software, the flashing LED is also no
longer displayed. The limit values for temperature, current, voltage are alarms which can be
left without changing the alarm settings. Once an alarm is active and it causes a yellow/red
flashing, it can either be switched off or, if necessary, the threshold can be increased.
A device error due to a failed self-test cannot be reset by the operator and must be replaced.
A communication error, which occurs, e.g. when the signaling strength is not sufficient, can
be rectified by the operator by, e.g. removing the radio barriers such as partitions, switching
off or moving other transmitting devices.
Furthermore, a communication error can be differentiated from a device error by resetting
the device communication with a long button press (≥ 10 s). If the error persists, this is an
indication of a device error.
