8. FL654 supports 10BASE-T(10Mbps) network and 100BASE-TX(100Mbps) network.
At present, the FL-net standard is specified to use 10Mbps network. Please unite the
network speed of the FL-net devices to 10Mbps and use them.
The device of 10Mbps must not exist together to the device of 100Mbps on the same
network even when the device of 100Mbps is allowed in the FL-net standard in the
future.
9. FL-net applies Ethernet, but it performs FL-net-dedicated token (transmission right)
control on UDP/IP to achieve real-time transmission by avoiding Ethernet-specific
collisions that are caused by the CSMA/DC method. Therefore, FL-net-compliant
equipment cannot coexist with general Ethernet devices on the same network.
If an FL-net-compliant device is mixed used with general Ethernet devices, signal
collision occurs on a transmission line, not assuring FL-net real-time transmission. Thus,
make sure that FL-net-compliant equipment is connected to a dedicated network.
