Verifying the installed network components
To verify the installed network components, proceed as follows:

From the Start menu, select Settings, then Control Panel.
The Control Panel window appears.

Double-click the Network icon. If all of the Control Panel options are not displayed, select View all
Control Panel options, then double-click the Network icon.
The Network dialog box appears.

Open the Wireless LAN PC Card Network properties dialog box.

Click the Configuration tab to verify the settings.

Make sure that the following items are displayed under The following network components are
installed.

TCP/IP -> Sony PCWA-C100 Wireless PC Card
❑
Client for Microsoft Networks
❑
File and printer sharing for Microsoft Networks
❑
NetBEUI -> Sony PCWA-C100 Wireless PC Card

Make sure that Client for Microsoft Networks is displayed under the Primary Network Logon
drop-down menu.
If everything is displayed, proceed to the Verifying the computer name and workgroup
If any of these components are missing, add each component individually.
