Wireless LAN connection
Install and connect the Access Point. (Refer to the Access Point Operating Instructions.)
Insert the Wireless LAN PC Card into the computer.
To establish the communication with the Access Point, proceed as follows:

Double-click the Reception level indicator
select Programs, Wireless LAN, then Wireless Palette from the Start menu.
The Wireless Palette status window appears.

Click the Tool Box
The Tool Box window appears.

Click Add.
The Add New Network Name (SSID) dialog box appears.

Enter the Nickname, Network Name (SSID), and Encryption Key.

If the Access Point is already installed, your network administrator may have changed the Encryption Key
or Network Name (SSID) using the Custom Setup Utility. Contact your network administrator for
instructions.

If the Encryption Key is specified, wireless communications are encrypted for protection against
unauthorized reception.

You can also identify Access Points within the range of communication range by opening the Network
Name (SSID) drop-down menu.

Click Connect.
The information is saved and a connection is made to the selected Access Point. The Nickname of the
selected Access Point is displayed in the Wireless Palette. If an error message is displayed, the information
you entered contains an error. Go back and repeat steps 3 to 5.
