Specifying the IP address
To specify the IP address, proceed as follows:
1 Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) from the component list of the Local Area Connection Properties,
then click Properties.
The Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties dialog box appears.
2 Click Obtain an IP address automatically, then click OK.
The Local Area Connection Properties dialog box appears.
3 Click OK.
The Local Area Connection Properties dialog box closes.
4 Click
5 The Network and Dial-up Connections window closes.
Proceed to the Verifying the computer name and workgroup
instructions.
Verifying the computer name and workgroup
Computer names are displayed in the status indication window of the Wireless Palette.
To verify the computer name and workgroup, proceed as follows:
1 From the Start menu, select Settings, and then click Control Panel.
The Control Panel window appears.
2 Double-click the System icon.
The System Properties dialog box appears.
3 Click the Network Identification tab, and then click Properties.
The Identification Changes dialog box appears.
4 Specify the Computer name and Workgroup for your computer.
