Welding (Merging the Outlines of
Multiple Patterns)
When multiple patterns are selected, the outlines of
those patterns can be welded to create a single
outline.
a
Select two heart patterns of different sizes and
arrange them in the mat layout screen.

Touch the large heart pattern in the mat layout
screen, and then drag it over the small pattern.

Touch in the mat editing screen.
• For details on the functions in the mat editing
screen, see "Layout Editing Functions" on page 45.

Select , and then touch the "OK" key.
• Two pattern selection functions are available
depending on your preference. For details on
selecting multiple patterns, see "Selecting Multiple
Patterns" on page 41.

Touch the "Object Edit" key in the mat layout
screen.

Touch in the object editing screen.
g
Check the preview, and then touch the "OK"
key.
Note
• Welding pattern outlines cannot be undone. In
order to recreate the original pattern
arrangement, select the patterns again, and
then arrange them.
