Password protection for cam data
The cam data can be protected as shown below by password setting.
Password setting
Password for read protection
Password for write protection

The password is set as follows.
• When the module extended parameter storage location is set to "Simple Motion module":
Set using the Simple Motion module setting function of the engineering tool.
• When the module extended parameter storage location is set to "CPU module":
Set using the file password of the module extended parameters (For the cam data operation with buffer
memory, it is based on the file password status of the module extended parameters.)
The password for cam data is deleted with cam data by "[Cd.2] Parameter initialization request". (When the module extended
parameter storage location is set to "Simple Motion module" [RD77GF])

Cam data operation with an engineering tool
Cam data cannot be read without unlocking the password
for read protection.
Cam data cannot be written without unlocking the
password for write protection.
Cam data operation with buffer memory
Reading cam data is not operated.
Writing cam data and generating cam data auto-
generation is not operated.
