The HP-IB
switch is being used for more
than just the HP-IB address of the device.
It is being used to
designate whether the flexible disc drive is Unit O or Unit 1. Note that the actual HP-IB addresses are still
numbers from
O through 7. Addresses
8 and 9 are the same as address 0; however
in these positions the 3
1/2-inch flexible disc drive is at Unit 0.

SELECTING THE HP-IB ADDRESS
To select an HP-IB address, locate the thumbwheel switch on the back of the unit (See Figure 3-8).
