The following tools are required for disassembly and reassembly of the disc memory:
Torx driver T7
7mm Nutdriver (HP part number 8710-1217)
Needlenose pliers.
#1 Pozidriv screwdriver (HP part number 8710-0899)
#2 Poxidriv screwdriver (HP part number
8710-0900)
NOTE
Use figures 9-1 and 9-2 for assembly locations.
Use figures 6-3 and 6-4 for cable connector locations.
The assemblies labeled on Figure 12-2 and to the right of the headings for topics [2] through [6] are as fol-

[2] TOP COVER REMOVAL (1)
To access the internal assemblies, the top cover
must first be removed.
Perform
the following steps to
remove the top cover.
- Remove the 2 screws located at the rear of the unit.
- Remove the 3 screws located on the bottom of the front panel.
- Slide the top cover forward for removal.
- To assemble, reverse the above process.
