VERSA BATTERY CHARGING

The AC adapter charges the Versa battery. Simply dock the Versa on the MediaDock and
connect the AC adapter. As long as the MediaDock and Versa are not powered on, the
Versa battery charges.

CD-ROM USE

The MediaDock ships with the CDR-250, NEC's dual-Speed CD-ROM reader. The CD-
ROM reader is assigned the next available drive letter.
Use the CD-ROM reader to load and start programs or from a compact disc (CD). Also,
use the CD-ROM reader to play audio CDs (see "Playing Audio CDs" in this section). The
Dual-Speed CD-ROM reader is fully compatible with Kodak Multisession Photo CDs™
and standard audio CDs.
The CD-ROM reader operates at different speeds depending on whether the CD you are
using contains data or music. This allows you to get your data faster and to see smoother
animation and video.
NOTE: No charging occurs if the MediaDock
and Versa are powered on. The battery status in-
dicators or LCDs may indicate that the battery is
charging, however, it is not. Charging only oc-
curs when the Versa is docked, the MediaDock
is connected to AC power, and Versa power is
turned off.
NOTE: The CD-ROM reader only works when
the MediaDock is connected to AC power, the
Versa is docked, and the Versa is powered on.
