2 Controls, Indicators, and Ports

This chapter describes controls, indicators, and ports on the front and rear of the
HP NetServer LXr 8000.

Control Panel Buttons and Indicators

The HP NetServer's control panel includes these controls and indicators:
Front panel controls for power, reset, and secure mode
LEDs for power and secure mode
A trio of LEDs -- one red, one yellow, one green -- that provide quick
information about system status
A two-line LCD display with its own set of screen navigation buttons.
This display provides detailed information about system status
The following illustration shows the server's front panel, including its control
panel. The following sections explain these controls in more detail.
