2.6 Calibration of viscometer

2.6.1 Calibrating viscometer
- Calibration of viscometer is required for the model PH-D.
- The calibration of viscometer is to determine the "coefficient" inherent in the equipment.
- Calibrate the viscometer when installing equipment. Normally, calibrating it once is
enough. However, calibrate the viscometer again when changing the type of ink, and
also calibrate a new viscometer after replacement.
- Be sure to calibrate the viscometer when beginning to use new ink.
- Calibrating the viscometer can be done regardless of the ambient temperature.
1 Turn on the power.
2 Press Viscometer calibration at the second page of circulation control
on the user maintenance screen and then press Start/Continue .
3 Press Start calibration .
During the viscosity calibration, the processing state "in progress "is displayed.
[Note at the calibration]
- When the operation confirmation of the viscometer is performed without the calibration,
press Operation test.
- Record or backup the coefficient value.
The value is recorded in the EZJ124 board. So at the replacement of EZJ124, the
calibration with new ink will be required in case that the value is not recorded nor
made a backup.
