Before any intervention it is essential to cut off all supply of the machine
Repair
Replacement of the Y1/Y2 (Y3/Y4) gas electrovalve:
Remove / Assembly:
1. Remove the left side frame of the machine.
2. Stop and remove the customer gas supply.
3. Remove the tap stop lever.
4. Disconnect the wire of the faulty electrovalve.
5. Remove the electrovalve and replace it by a new one.
6. Connect the wire on the new electrovalve.
7. Put back the tap stop lever.
8. Put back the customer gas supply.
9. Paint pipe joints, pilot gas tubing connections and inspect outlets with rich soap and
water solution; do not use an aggressive soap.
10. Open the customer gas supply and switch on the machine, bubbles indicate a gas leak.
11. Eliminate this leak if necessary.
12. Adjust and check the outlet pressure (see following paragraph).
13. Light the gas pipe burner and check the operation.
14. Before leaving the installation, leave the machine running for a full cycle to observe and
ensure that the system components are working properly.
Adjustment and checking of the outlet gas pressure:
1. Close the gas inlet and remove the binding screw from the pressure tapping (F) and
connect the manometer tube.
2. The electrovalve must be powered with electricity otherwise gas will not be supplied to
the burner.
3. Open and check the gas inlet main burner using the manometer on the pressure
tapping (F).
4. Remove pressure regulator cap (D).
5. Using a screwdriver, slowly turn the adjustment screw until the required pressure (P) is
indicated on manometer (see tables on Chap. Installation pages 16, 17 and 18).
Turn the adjustment screw clockwise to increase and counter-clockwise to decrease gas
pressure.
6. Reset the pressure regulator cap, close off the gas inlet, remove the manometer tube and
put the binding screw back in (F).
