Power supply general
The power supply for the CS1140 series of fire detection system control units con-
sists of the following three components:
Converter B2F020
Battery-charging function unit either as an integrated component in the
E3X10. (for details see E3X10.) or as a separate battery-charging module E3C...
(for details see E3C...)
Emergency power battery, capacity according to quiescent current and the re-
quired mains autonomy; see document 1076 (EP5), 008725 (EP7F-Z1) "Emer-
gency power calculation")
Over voltage protection
Additional surge protectors are only necessary in Special cases e.g. where there
is a particular risk from lightning, overhead mains lead etc. (see Z3I041, Z3I121 –>
page 76)
