AC charging unit installation

The AC power charging unit maintains a constant voltage charge on the installed battery pack. There are many different types
and styles. Each unit will come with wiring instructions. Generally, follow the steps listed below.
The following hardware is required to mount the AC power charging unit to the XRC
Materials supplied
AC power charging unit
Coupling nipple
Customer-supplied materials
Plastic cable ties
AC wiring, conduit (rigid or flexible)
Step-by-step instructions
The AC charging unit is shipped separately. When the unit is received, unpack and inspect all components for evidence of
damage. Report any damage to the shipping carrier and to Totalflow's service department.
DANGER – Serious damage to health / risk to life. To prevent injury, only a licensed electrician should install
AC power wiring to a customer-supplied primary AC power source.
CAUTION – LOSS OF CERTIFICATION. To maintain system certification, all wiring must comply with NEC 501
code and applicable ABB certification drawings.
Remove one of the plugs from the side of the XRC
Feed the AC charger DC power lines into the XRC
Input +/- terminals J17 on the main electronic board (see Figure 36).
