Connecting to a camera recorder

Connect the IP connector <LAN> of this unit and LAN
connector on the camera recorder with a LAN cable
(option).
• When connecting via a switching hub (100base-TX), use a straight
cable (category 5 or better shielded cable) for the LAN cable. When
not connecting via a switching hub, use a cross cable (category 5 or
better shielded cable) for the LAN cable.

When you have finished connecting the equipment, turn
on the power of the camera and turn on the external DC
power supply of the unit.
<Note>
• Up to 19 camera recorders and remote cameras can be controlled
from this unit.
• To use a remote camera via an IP connection, you need to configure
the settings with ROP Setup Software (accessory). Please make sure
that the version of the ROP setup software is Ver. 3.0.0.0 or higher.
Before using ROP Setup Software, connect the unit to the personal
computer with a LAN cable.
• With IP connections, the unit can coexist with a CCU. For how to
connect to a CCU via an IP connection, refer to (→page 36).
• For details on the settings for IP connections, refer to Operations and
Settings on the supplied CD-ROM.Please refer to the latest Operating
Instructions at the following Web site.
