Create foreign-language alarm text files and translate texts
1. Copy the file you have just modified.
2. Change the language abbreviation in the file name, see "Supported languages" table, e.g.
3. Create the file in the same /OEM/sinumerik/hmi/lng/ or /User/sinumerik/hmi/lng/ folder.
4. Open the file in the editor.
5. Enter the translated alarm text in the <translation> tag.
Creating an alarm text file on a PC
You can also create the alarm text file externally on a PC.
Create configuration file
In order that the newly created alarm texts are identified by the "Alarm&Event Service", the
so-called "basename" (file name of the alarm text files just created without the language
abbreviation and file extension) has to be included in the configuration of the Alarm&Event
Service as the new basename.
1. Copy the sample configuration file "oem_slaesvcadapconf.xml" from the folder
2. Paste the file into folder /OEM/sinumerik/hmi/lng/ or /User/sinumerik/hmi/lng/ with the
