2. Enter the new basename, "oem_alarms" in the example.
Several files with in-house alarm texts:
1. If there are several files with OEM alarm texts, the same number of base names must be
included in the configuration. The list can be extended to any length.
2. Copy the content of the tag <BaseName>, in the example:
<BaseName_02 type="QString" value="oem_alarms"/>
3. Insert the line between the tag <BaseNames> and </BaseNames>.
4. Increment the number of the last existing "BaseName_xx" tag by one.
5. Insert the basename of the corresponding alarm text file.
Note
The tag "BaseName_01" is reserved for Siemens
Restart the HMI sl
So that the "Alarm&Event Service" can read the new alarm texts, they must be converted
from the ".ts" format into binary format.
Restart HMI sl. This data is only converted during startup. Thus files with the same name
with the file extension ".qm" are created in the same folder.
The result of the conversion is written into the file "alarmtext_conversion.log". Errors that
occur during the conversion, such as syntax errors in an alarm text file, are also written to
the file.
