7. Disconnect the engine ECM couplers D
and E.
8. Check the wiring harness for continuity.

9. Connect the Rectifier Regulator couplers
and ground lead, and then install the fuse
holder.
10. Install the intake manifold (STBD). See
"Installing the intake manifold" (6-16).

Checking the ignition spark

1. Remove the ignition coils.
2. Connect the special service tool a to an
ignition coil.
TIP:
Repeat steps 2–4 for each ignition coil.
3. Check the ignition spark using the YDIS
"Stationary test." WARNING! Do not
touch any of the connections of the
special service tool.
