Operating the Control Panel
5.1 Opening the settings
Logging on in the Control Panel
The "Login" button is located on the right of Control Panel title bar.
If user administration has been configured for the HMI device and transferred to the HMI
device, you can log in using the "Login" button. After logging in, you have the authorizations
that were defined for your login in the configuration. To access all functions in the Control
Panel, a user needs the "Control Panel access" function right.
Note
Four login attempts allowed
Four attempts are allowed to enter the correct login credentials. If the login credentials are
entered incorrectly on the fifth attempt, the user involved is locked out. The user must be
deleted and newly created or you must reload the user administration into the HMI device.
Ensure you enter the login credentials correctly.
After you have logged in, the "Logout" button is displayed in the title bar instead of the
"Login" button.
Switching the navigation area
You can switch the navigation area from the maximized display to the minimized display as
follows.
