Error handling

Positioner oscillates

The positioner oscillates in control
modes
1.0
and 1.1.
Press the  button. Is the current value
stable?
Yes
Switch the positioner to operating mode
1.2
(manually) and set to a position of
approx. 50 % using the local push
buttons. Is the position stable?
Yes
Start Autostroke and save the values.
Switch the positioner to the operating
mode 1.1.
Is the position stable?
No
Switch the positioner to operating mode
1.0
(adaptive) for 4 to 5 hours to
optimize control behavior. Several
changes to the setpoint signal are
required.
Is the positioner function stable?
No
Increase the deadband (DEADBAND).
Is the valve function stable?

The friction of the valve is too great or
