10.2 Configuring the Irradiation Patterns

■ Batch Irradiation
Ready Conditions
(1) Make sure that the system is configured to irradiate the selected model.
When the system is not configured for irradiation:
None of LEDs 1 to 4 have a pattern selected (all are pattern 0).
Also, if the time for step 1 is 0 seconds for each of the patterns selected for LEDs 1 to 4.
(2) Must be on the Auto screen (initial screen upon power up or Auto selected from the menu).
(3) All enabled LEDs for which models have been selected (patterns 1 to 10 selected in Model
Setup) are connected.
(4) The LED to use for irradiation is not busy (Busy signal is off).
Above, "enabled" is considered to be the state where the Ready signal is on.
Start Irradiation
When the Ready signal is on, irradiation can be started by setting the START button on the main unit
to "on," or via the following external signals.
(1) Pulse Start Mode:
When the external Start 1 signal begins (at least 0.3 s), all selected LEDs begin batch irradiation.
(2) Status Start Mode:
When the external Start 1 signal changes from "off" to "on," all selected LEDs begin batch
irradiation. After irradiation completes, the signal remains on.
Emergency Stop (Alarm), Interrupt
To perform an emergency stop, set the external Emergency Stop signal to "off" (Open). An emergency
stop will also be performed if the following external-signal conditions are met.
(1) Pulse Start Mode:
-During irradiation, turning on the Start 1 again will cause an emergency stop (Alarm).
-During irradiation, turning on the Stop 1 signal will cause an emergency stop (Alarm).
-During irradiation, setting the START button on the main unit to "on" will cause an emergency
stop (Alarm).
-The other signals – Start 2, Stop 2, Start 3, Stop 3, Start 4, and Stop 4 – are ignored.
(2) Status Start Mode:
-During irradiation, setting the Start 1 signal to "off" will interrupt irradiation.
-During irradiation, turning on the Stop 1 signal will cause an emergency stop (Alarm).
-During irradiation, setting the START button on the main unit to "on" will cause an emergency
stop (Alarm).
-The other signals – Start 2, Stop 2, Start 3, Stop 3, Start 4, and Stop 4 – are ignored.
