Launching UWF Automatically
The Unified Writer Filter utility is automatically launched when the system starts. This utility provides a secure
environment for thin client computing by protecting the thin client from undesired flash memory writes. The active (green),
inactive (red), or changed (orange) status of the filter is indicated by the color of the Unified Writer Filter status icon in
the system tray on the taskbar. For details about the Unified Writer Filter, see Chapter 5, "3 Using the Unified Write Filter
