Cause of SYNCUP abort
In the PROFINET ring, in addition to the two CPUs, there are
other devices with the media redundancy role "Manager" or
"Manager (auto)".
In a configuration with PROFINET rings (R1), the backup CPU
is assigned the media redundancy role "Not device in the ring"
before the SYNCUP.
Supply voltage of the primary or backup CPU has failed.
Simultaneous POWER OFF / POWER ON switching at both CPUs
during SYNCUP:
If you switch both CPUs POWER OFF/ON at the same time dur
ing SYNCUP, SYNCUP will be aborted.

Solution
Configure the media redundancy role "Client" for all other
devices in the PROFINET ring.
Delete the SIMATIC Memory Card of the backup CPU.
Restore the supply voltage. Replace a defective load current
supply (PM).
Switch both CPUs POWER OFF/ON again. The SYNCUP is
executed again.
