R/H-CPUs The CPU runs the user program.
Additional features and functions of the CPU:

PROFINET cable You connect the CPUs and the IO devices in a PROFINET ring or
PROFINET network using PROFINET cables.
Synchronization mod­ You create 2 redundancy connections between the H-CPUs via
ules (for S7‑1500H) fiber-optic cables using a total of 4 synchronization modules (2
in each H-CPU).
