Introduction
The section below shows you the configuration of the S7-1500H redundant system with R1
devices in a combined topology.
Advantages/benefits
• Within the combined topology, any topology is allowed:
– Ring topology
– Line topology
– Star topology
• The combined topologies can be extended by additional R1 devices.
• Two existing backbone rings can be connected to the S7-1500H redundant system as
separate networks. They connect backbone rings and other R1 devices via switches.
