Checking the transport packaging

Start the inspection of the transport packaging with a visual inspection of the shock indicator.
Checking the shock indicator
During transport, a transport pallet with shock absorbers protects the charging station from
shocks and vibrations. However, the effect of extreme G-forces can overload the shock
absorbers. To prevent the occurrence of such a damaging event, a shock indicator is affixed
to the transport packaging of the SICHARGE UC Dispenser.
Figure 4-1  Schematic example: Shock indicator
The shock indicator monitors any G-forces acting during the entire transport. When the
SICHARGE UC Dispenser is exposed to excessive G-forces during transport, the shock indicator
is triggered. The indicator tube shows that the tolerance limit for G-forces has been exceeded
by red coloring.
Perform a visual inspection of the shock indicator as follows:
1. Check whether there is a shock indicator on the transport packaging.
2. Check the serial number of the shock indicator for manipulation.
3. Check whether the glass tube in the middle of the indicator has turned red.
4. Report any red colored or missing indicator to the carrier immediately.
The carrier must confirm the red colored or missing indicator on the receipt.
Check the overall transport packaging
After you have checked the shock indicator, continue checking the incoming goods with the
visual inspection of the overall transport packaging.
