User's Guide
When printing on paper loaded in the take-up reel unit,
perform Head Alignment in the same way when
printing and when loaded in the take-up reel unit.
The minimum adjustable paper size is A4.
Make sure nozzles are not clogged before adjusting.
If nozzles are clogged, adjustments will not be
performed correctly. Print and visually inspect the
check pattern, and then perform Head Cleaning if
necessary.

Procedure for Head Alignment
Buttons that are used in the following settings

Make sure the paper you want to make
adjustments for is loaded correctly, and select the
correct setting name using Custom Paper Setting
in Select Paper Type.

Confirm that the printer is ready to print. Press
the l/r buttons to select ., and then press the
Z button.
The Paper menu is displayed.

Press the u/d buttons to select the same number
you selected in step 1 from Custom Paper Setting
numbers 1 to 10, and then press the Z button.

Use the d/u buttons to select Head Alignment
and press the Z button.

Select the adjustment item, and then press the
Z button.
Basic Operations

Press the Z button to print an adjustment
pattern.

Check the printed adjustment pattern.
When paper is loaded in the optional auto
take-up reel unit, the paper is not cut
automatically after printing the adjustment
pattern. If the adjustment pattern is hard to see,
you can feed the paper using the following
procedure and then check.
(1) Press the ) button.
(2) Press the d button to feed the paper until the
adjustment pattern is easily visible.
(3) After checking the adjustment pattern, press
the u button to rewind the paper.
(4) Press the y button to return to the menu.
Depending on the width of the paper the
adjustment pattern is printed on, 1 block is
comprised of 2 or 4 colors in 3 lines, and blocks 1
to 5 are printed horizontally. Color codes are
printed above each color pattern.
Four blocks are printed horizontally and divided
into "#1" to "#4".
