11 USB/FILE MANAGEMENT
Changing the Name of Files Stored in the Built-in
Memory
The file name of the settings data that is stored on the transceiver
can be changed by the user to ease identification.
1 Press [MENU].
2 Press F [USB/FILE] to display the USB/File
Management menu screen.
• If F [USB/FILE] is not displayed, press F [MORE] to display
F [USB/FILE].
3 Press F2 [
]/ F3 [

4 Press F4 [SELECT] to display the screen for
selecting the file (DATA) to read.

5 Press F5 [NAME].
The file name edit screen is displayed.
6 Use the function keys and the [MULTI/CH] control
to edit the file name.
• Enter a name that contains not more than 255 characters.

Selects a character.

Moves the cursor.

7 Press F6 [SAVE] to save the file name.
• Pressing F7 [CANCEL] discards the edited information and
returns the display to the USB/File Management menu
screen.

Operation

Copying Files to a PC

Files that are stored in the built-in memory of this transceiver can
be copied to a PC.
• Connect the USB-B connector on the rear panel of this
transceiver to a PC using a commercially available USB cable.
(See 1-4)
1 Press [MENU].
2 Press F [USB/FILE] to display the USB/File
Management menu screen.
• If F [USB/FILE] is not displayed, press F [MORE] to display
F [USB/FILE].
