16-2. Version Upgrade for Flash Memory

The AJ-YAD455P (F3B: DIF board) has flash memory. For the software version up, connect the "Flash memory
version up tool (VFK1304A)" to the tool connection connector and use the "Flash memory version up software
(VFK1248E)".

1. Items required for flash memory writing
Flash memory version up software...................................................................... VFK1248E
NOTE: Software with the old version (VFK1248A) can not be used.
Flash memory version up tool.............................................................................. VFK1304A
Personal computer compatible with Windows 95/98
RS-232C cable (9pin-9pin Straight -cable)
2. Installation of the flash memory version up software
Copy the following file to arbitrary directory on a personal computer compatible with Windows 95/98.
(After execution of the software, an ".INI" file will be created in the same directory as the program file, but this
may be left or may be deleted as desired.)
Program file.......................... VSI2312E.EXE
3. Setting of the flash memory version up tool
Set the VFK1304A to "STRAIGHT CABLE" mode as shown the backside of this tool.
Confirm the switch settings of the "flash memory version up tool (VFK1304A)".

4. Connection of the flash memory version up tool
Turn off the power of the AJ-D455P and the personal computer and then connect them as shown in the
following figure. Pay attention not to confuse the connection direction (top, bottom) for the flat cable of the
flash memory version up tool (VFK1304A).
