6 GLUING

6.1 Selecting program No.

Refer to "3.2" to select a program number, and load the program which is needed for gluing.
6.2 Gluing
Display the home screen.
If necessary, follow the procedures in "3.2" and "3.2.4" to select the program and steps to use.
1.
Press the NOZZLE switch.

The nozzle will move down to its lowest position.
After depressing the treadle, return it to its neutral position.

The cloth plate will drop and air will start blowing around the upper cloth plate.
Set the lower cloth under the upper cloth plate.At this time, align the leading end of the lower cloth in the cloth feed

direction with the positioning LED marker.
After depressing the treadle, return it to its neutral position.

The lower edge control roller will rotate and the horizontal position for the lower cloth will be determined automatically.
* Hold the cloth to that it does not move forward or back. If the cloth moves forward or back by
mistake, align the leading end of the lower cloth with the positioning LED marker once again.
After depressing the treadle, return it to its neutral position.

The cloth plate will lift up and the lower cloth presser will drop and secure the lower cloth.
* Be careful to avoid getting your hand caught.
Place the upper cloth on top of the upper cloth plate, and while looking in the mirror, align the leading end of the upper

cloth with the leading end of the lower cloth.
After depressing the treadle, return it to its neutral position.

The upper edge control roller will drop and rotate, and the horizontal position for the cloth will be determined
automatically.
* Be careful to avoid getting your hand caught.
* Hold the cloth to that it does not move forward or back. If the cloth moves forward or back by
mistake, align the leading end of the upper cloth with the leading end of the lower cloth once again.
After depressing the treadle, return it to its neutral position.
9.
The upper roller will move down.
10. Check if the indicator of the GLUE ON/OFF switch is illuminated.
If it is illuminated, glue discharge is enabled, and if it is turned off, glue discharge is disabled.
The indicator will illuminate or switch off each time the GLUE ON/OFF switch is pressed.
11. When the treadle is depressed, gluing will start.
The lower cloth presser will lift up.
⚫ If end detection is enabled
When the end of the cloth is detected, glue discharge automatically stops, but the cloth continues feeding.
Once all of the cloth had been fed through, return the treadle to the neutral position.
⚫ If end detection is disabled
Glue will be discharged while the treadle is being depressed.
If you would like to stop gluing, return the treadle to the neutral position.
12. Depress the treadle backward and take out the cloth.
The upper roller will lift up and the upper edge control roller and lower edge control roller will retract.
