When connecting to a normal TV receiver (without cable channels), it is necessary to connect a converter
box with a remote control (supplied by the cable TV company) between the N926U and the TV receiver
Leave the TV's channel selector to channel 3 (or 4) at all times.
Connect the converter box to the RF OUT terminal on the VCR and VHF antenna on the TV reciev-
er.
• When the VC R/TV select button on the N926U is set to TV, use the converter box to select any
channel you desire to watch. This setting bypasses the VCR completely.
When the VCR/TV select button on the N926U is set to VCR, select channel 3 (or 4) on the con-
verter box. You can watch or record any channel by selecting it with the CHANNEL/SET(v)/(A)
buttons of the N926U instead of the channel selector of the converter box.
When you want to record one channel while watching another, set the VCR/TV select button to TV.
and select the channel to be recorded with the CHANNEL/SET(v)/(A) buttons of the N926U and
the channel to be viewed with the channel selector on the converter box.
