SEGMENT RECORDING
This function is convenient for recording without going through the timer programming procedure.
Preparation
•
Press the Power Switch to turn the VCR on.
•
Insert a video cassette with the safety tab still attached.
• Turn the TV on and select Channel 3 or 4. (Same as selected on the rear panel of the VCR).
•
Set the VCR/TV select button to VCR. (The

indicator will light in the display.)
• Choose the channel to be recorded by pressing the CHANNEL/SET (V)/(A) buttons or by pressing
the Number Keys on the Remote control.
For
example:
It is now 5: 54 PM. You are going out soon, and you are going to return at 8: 00 PM. However you
want to record a TV program on channel 10 that will start at 7:30 PM and end at 9:00 PM.

Press the D.S.R. button to advance the starting time in 15
minute increments until the display shows the correct start-
ing time (I n this case 7 : 30 PM).
• The starting time can be any time within the next 24 hours.
• If you need to set a starting time other than at 15 mi nute
intervals, press the D.S.R. button until the display shows
the closest 15-minute time to the desired starting time, then
adjust the time in 1-minute increments using the CHAN-
NE L/SET(V )/( A) buttons.

Press the SEGMENT REC button to set the length of time
to record. The length of time display will blink.
