EXACTRAC YIELDS STRIKING SPECIAL EFFECTS
ExacTrac, a unique four-head design by NEC, eliminates streaks and lines during special-effects play-
back, revealing a picture that's sharp and jitter-free.
ExacTrac also enhances normal recording and playback picture quality, as well as stop-action, frame
advance, and slow motion (1/30, 1/10, 1/5 normal speed). With ExacTrac, near perfect picture quality is
yours at both EP and SP speeds.
HIGH QUALITY VIDEO SYSTEM
The "High Quality" circuit incorporates a 20%increase in the peak white clip level and also detail en-
hancement circuitry adding sharpness and detail to recorded images.
36-FUNCTION WIRELESS SYSTEM REMOTE CONTROL
This convenient wireless remote control operates 25 different VCR functions and 11 different NEC TV
functions.

AUTO POWER ON
We have made the VCR as automatic as technically possible. When a tape is inserted, power is automati-

cally switched on.
POWER OFF EJECT
Even if the VCR is turned off, the tape can be removed by pressing the EJECT button.
JET SEARCH PROVIDES FAST LOCATION OF SCENES
The picture search function runs the tape at 5 times (SP mode) and, 9 times (EP mode) the speed of
normal playback, making it easier to locate a specific scene. To search for a particular scene even faster,
Press the Fast Forward or Rewind button a second time. The JET SEARCH function will now run the
tape 9 times (SP mode), or 21 times (EP mode) the speed of normal playback.
ON SCREEN PROGRAMMING/ON SCREEN DISPLAY
The VCR displays on the TV screen all the information needed to program the timer for unattended re-
cording. In addition, all the information can be entered using the remote control that is supplied with
the VCR.
Also, the VCR displays on the TV screen all the current operating functions. These include. Stop, Play,
Record, Pause, Still, Cue, Jet-Cue, Review, Jet-Review, Fast Forward, Rewind, Channel, and Tape
Counter.
MULTI FUNCTION DISPLAY
You can comfirm the operating status of the VCR at a glance thanks to a fluorescent indicator that
graphically shows the operating mode. Modes shown are. PLAY, RECORD, PAUSE STI LL, FAST FOR-
WARD, REWIND, CUE, REVIEW, JET-CUE, JET-REVIEW, STOP, SLOW 1/5, 1/10, 1/30. Other
indicators shown are. CASSETTE IN, NO TAB, 4-DIGIT COUNTER and DUAL TIMER DISPLAY.
110-CHANNEL CABLE-CAPABLE FREQUENCY SYNTHESIZED TUNER
This VCR features a tuner that is able to receive all 12 VHF, 70 UHF, and 28 non-scrambled cable
channels.
Channels can be accessed from the VCR (up/down) or directly from the remote control's

21-DA Y 8-EVENT PROGRAMMABLE TIMER
The user can program the timer so that the VCR wi II automatically record up to eight TV shows over the
next 3 weeks. In addition, three repeat patterns are available for daily programs. from Monday through
Friday, Monday through Saturday and Sunday through Saturday. It's even possible to program the
recording speed (SP/LP/EP) as well as the time.
Setting the timer can be performed from the VCR or the remote control.
DELAYED SEGMENT RECORDING
Segment recording makes it easy to set the VCR to automatically start recording, stop recording, and
shut off the power.
Each touch of the SEGMENT REC button will add 30 minutes worth of recording time, up to a maxi-
mum of 6 hours 30 minutes. In addition, the length of the recording time can be set in one minute inter-
vals by pressing the CHANNEL!SET(V)/(I\)button.
By using the D.S.R button it is also possible to delay beginning of segment recording for up to 24 hours.
