TIME SETTING
To set the display to show the day of the week and the time of
day, proceed as follows:

NOTE: When the unit is first plugged in or there has been a
power failure for more than 10 minutes, the display
will blink and appear as shown above. Only the left
timer will blink.

Timer setting example:
Set the clock for 'WED PM 7:23' (Wednesday at 7: 23 p.m.)

Press the TIME ADJUST button and keep it pressed until
the end of the time setting procedure.

First, the day of the week sould be set. (The day of the
week flashes in the display.)
Press the CHANNE L!SET

buttons to set WED.

Press the SHI FT (+) button to set the flashing indicator to
the Hour position.
Press the CHANN EL!SET (v) /

of day. Set to PM 7.

When the time adjust button is released, the clock will start
operating.

NOTE: The colon between the Hour and 10 Minute digits in-
dicates seconds. In the first 30 seconds of each min-
ute the upper dot flashes. In the last 30 seconds the
lower dot flashes. The colon flashes in 2 second inter-
vals. This timer works by AC power line reference.
Check the present time about once a month (for ac-
curacy) and if necessary reset time.

NOTE: Normally during Time Setting and Timer Program-
ming you will use the SHI FT (+) button to advance
to each in the sequence. However, if you need to
back up (for example, to correct a mistake) you can
use the SHIFT (-) button to go through each step in
the sequence in reverse order. This can be done either
on the VCR or by using the remote control.
