TV PROGRAM RECORDING
Preparation

Insert a video cassette with the safety tab still attached.
, . Turn the TV on and select Channel 3 or 4. (Same as selected on 'the rear panel of the VCR).
__ Set the VCR/TV select button to VCR. ( IVCRI indicator lights in the display.)

Choose the channel to be recorded by pressing the CHANNEL/SET(v)/(A)buttons or pressing the
Number Keys on the Remote control of the VCR.

Set the REC MODE select button to SP, LP or EP as desired. The recording mode is shown in the dis-
play. This button is inside the Front Compartment.

Press the REC button. The Recording indicator" I REC

"will appear in the display.
If the safety tab has been broken off, the video cassette will be ejected.

If there is part of the program you do not want to record or if you want to change the channel, press
the PAUSE/STI LL:. button. The Recording Pause indicator" I REC I

"and the Pause Remain time
(maximum 5 minutes) will appear in the display.
• To change the channel, press the CHANNEL/SET (V)/(A)buttons.
•
Press the REC button or PAUSE/STI LL button to resume recording.
•
If the VCR is left in the Pause mode for 5 minutes (after the Pause Remaining time indicator counts
down to aMaaS) the unit will stop automatically to protect the tape and video heads.

To end the recording, press the STOP button.

Press the REW/REVIEW button to rewind the tape.

Press the PLAY button to view the tape.
*How to Record one TV Program while watching another
Select the channel you want to record on the VCR. Press the Record button. Then set the VCR/TV
select button to TV. (The IVCR I
indicator is off.) You can now choose the channel you want to watch
on the TV by tuning the channel on the TV.
