Press the SEGMENT REC button to advance the length of
time in 3D-minute increments until the display shows the
correct length of time to record. (In this case 1 Hour 3D
minutes)
*If you want to cancel segment recording before it
begins:
Turn the POWE R switch on to cancel Segment Recording.
• The length of time can be any length up to 6 Hours 59
Minutes.

* If you want to change segment recording before
it begins:
Turn the POWE R switch on to cancel Segment Recording,
then repeat the procedure for setting Segment Recording,
using the new channel, time and length.
*If you want to interrupt segment recording after
it begins:
Press the REC button to interrupt Segment Recording, then
press the Stop button to stop the tape.
*If you receive an "Error" message:
If you receive an "Error" message in the display, either there is
no tape loaded into the VC R, or the safety tab has been re-
moved. Check to see wh ich reason is causi ng the" Error" mes-
sage, and either load a tape into the VCR, or replace with a
different tape.
NOTE: The first time you press the SEGMENT REC but-
ton, the display will show "End". If you use this
as the length of time, the VCR will continue to
Segment Record until the end of the tape.
• If you need
to
set a length of time other than in 3D-minute
increments, press the SEGMENT REC button until the dis-
play shows the closest 3D-minute time to the desired length
of time, then adjust the time in '-minute increments uisng
the CHANNEL/SET(V)!(I\) buttons.

If you do not enter or change any more information, the
Segment Rec display will continue to blink for a few sec-
onds, then the power will turn off automatically, and the
red SEGMENT REC indicator will remain on to confirm
that the timer has been set.
The VCR is now set to record automatically.
