About this task
NOTE:
When removing the system board to replace or access other parts, the system board can be removed and installed
with the heat sink attached to simplify the procedure and preserve the thermal bond between the system board and heat
sink.
NOTE:
For computers shipped with a fingerprint reader, the power button includes a fingerprint reader module.
The following images indicate the location of the power button with the optional fingerprint reader and provide a visual
representation of the removal procedure.

Steps
1. Remove the two screws (M1.2x1.5) that secure the power button to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
2. Peel the fingerprint reader flexible printed circuits from the connector (FP1) on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
NOTE:
This step applies only to computers shipped with a power button with fingerprint reader installed.
3. Lift the power button off the slot on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
