Managing AppAssure 5 Licenses

This chapter describes how to access and manage product licenses from the AppAssure 5 License Portal.

About The AppAssure 5 License Portal

The AppAssure 5 License Portal provides access for you to download software and to manage license subscriptions.
From the License Portal, you can add an AppAssure 5 Core and agents, manage groups, track group activity, register
machines, create accounts, invite users, and generate reports.

About Navigation In The License Portal

When you log on to the license portal for the first time, a wizard guides you through the steps to deploy AppAssure 5. For
subsequent logons, if you specified not to view the wizard again, the License Portal Home page, is displayed as the
dashboard.
At the top right area of the License Portal pages, you can click navigation links to access the features described in the
following table.

About The License Portal Server

The License Portal server is a Web portal that resides at a managed hosting location and provides around-the-clock
support and availability.
The License Portal server controls access to product downloads and allows you to track deployments, view reports, and
manage license keys.
The general flow for using the portal is as follows:
Description
Provides a link to the License Portal Home page and dashboard, which
presents status information about protected machines in your environment,
provides access to groups, and provides access to reports about your licenses
and machines.
Displays the first and last name of the user who is logged in to the license
portal. It also provides a link to access Personal Settings for modifying
information about the user as well as logon credentials, such as e-mail
address and user name. From this link, you can also access the License Portal
Setup Wizard.
Displays a dialog box that includes contact information for Dell AppAssure.
Provides access to AppAssure 5 documentation.
Logs you out of the license portal session and deletes the session from the
server.
