Activating A License Portal Account

After you register for an account, you receive an e-mail confirming your registration. This e-mail includes a hyperlink for
you to activate the newly created account.
To activate a license portal account:
1.
In the confirmation e-mail you receive after registering, click the hyperlink provided.
The Confirmation and Activation page is displayed, which prompts you to create a password for your account.

In the Password text box, enter the password.
NOTE: The password you enter must be at least eight characters long. For optimal security when creating a
password, it is best to use a combination of upper and lowercase characters in combination with numeric and
unique symbols.
3.
In the Confirm Password text box, re-enter the password.
4.
Click Activate Account.

Logging On To The AppAssure 5 License Portal

If you have previously registered at the AppAssure 5 License Portal, you only need to enter your User ID. For example,
your e-mail address, and password to log on. The Keep me logged in option allows you save your details so you can
easily log on upon returning to the license portal. Your logon credentials are retained only for 24 hours.
If you forget your logon information, you can reset your password by clicking the Forgot your password? link. A new
password is sent to the e-mail address associated with your account.
NOTE: If you have not registered at the license portal, you need to do so to obtain a license key and to download
software.
To log on to the AppAssure 5 license portal:
1.
Navigate to the License Portal, for example, https://licenseportal.com.
The Welcome page is displayed.
2.
In the User ID text box, enter your user ID.
3.
In the Password text box, enter the password you defined for this account during the registration process.
NOTE: If you have forgotten your password, click Forgot your password? A new password is sent to the e-mail
address you used to register for the account.
4.
Click Keep me logged in to automatically log you in to your account in future sessions.
NOTE: User details are retained only for 24 hours.
5.
Click Log On.

Using The License Portal Wizard

1.
On the Welcome page of the Setup Wizard, click Install New Cores.
The Navigating the License Portal page is displayed and describes how you can navigate the license portal.
2.
Click Next.
The Groups page is displayed.
3.
To add a new group, click Add Group to add a subgroup to your organization.
