Registering Your Appliance On The License Portal

You must register your appliance on the Dell AppAssure license portal.

Registering Your Appliance With Existing License Portal Account

To register your appliance if you have already created an account on the License portal:
1. On your web browser, enter https://appliance.licenseportal.com/.
The Welcome to the Dell AppAssure License Portal page is displayed.
2. In Email Address, enter the e-mail address that you used to create an account in the License Portal.
3. In Service Tag, enter the service tag of your appliance.
4. To add additional service tags, click Do you have any more appliances? click here.
5. Click Verify.
The log in screen is displayed.
6. Enter the user name and password of your License Portal account and click Next.
The license key and instructions to apply the license key on AppAssure 5 Core Console is displayed.
7. Click Finish.

Registering Your Appliance When You Do Not Have A License Portal Account

You must register your appliance on the Dell AppAssure license portal.
To register your appliance if you do not have an account on the License Portal:
1. On your web browser, enter https://appliance.licenseportal.com/.
The Welcome to the Dell AppAssure License Portal page is displayed.
2. In Email Address, enter your e-mail address that you used to create an account in the License Portal.
3. In Service Tag, enter the service tag of your appliance.
4. To add additional service tags, click Do you have any more appliances? click here.
5. Click Verify.
If the e-mail address that you enter is not registered on the License Portal, you are prompted to create an account
in the License Portal using the supplied e-mail address.
The account information screen is displayed.
6. Create an account in the License Portal using the e-mail address that you entered earlier.

After you create the account for the License Portal, an activation mail is sent to your e-mail address.
7. Click the link in the activation mail.
The change password page is displayed.
8. In Password, enter a relevant password.
9. In Confirm Password, re-enter the exact password that you entered in Password.
10. Click Activate Account.
The license key and instructions to apply the license key on AppAssure 5 Core Console is displayed.
11. Click Finish.
