Configuring the Brocade 6545 16 Gbps FC Switch Module
In this chapter
About the Switch Module configuration
This chapter provides configuration procedures that use the Fabric OS command-line interface
(CLI) and the Brocade Web Tools application. For further details, refer to the Fabric OS Command
Reference and Web Tools Administrator's Guide. Refer to the Switch Module release notes for the
Fabric OS version support. If the same operation can be performed using the Fujitsu PRIMERGY
BX900 S2 or BX400 Management Blade (MMB), it is recommended that you use that application
instead.
Use the procedures in this chapter to configure the Brocade 6545 16 Gbps FC Switch Module to
operate on a network and fabric. Also use steps to change the Switch Module's operating modes
(Fabric OS Native and Access Gateway modes).
NOTE
Although the Brocade 6545 16 Gbps FC Switch Module is configured at the factory for Fabric OS
Native mode, you can enable it for Access Gateway mode. For more information, refer to
from Fabric OS Native to Access Gateway mode"
