Explanation, example
Newly initializes modem.
A restart may take up to one minute.
A SIM card with a 4 digit PIN code is
required. The PIN code is checked during
entry and startup.
The SIM card must be unlocked (e.g. via
mobile phone) after two unsuccessful
attempts with wrong PIN code.
Enter "^" to turn off GSM modem
c ommunications.
Transmission protocol for text messaging
(SMS):
Auto: The web language determines the
language. GSM-7 is available in English,
German, French, Italian, Spanish,
Portuguese, Swedish, Danish, Finnish and
Turkish. UCS-2 applies for all others.
UCS-2: The protocol is fixed UCS-2
(Unicode). A maximum of 70 characters can
be transmitted per SMS.
GSM-7: The protocol is fixed GSM-7-Bit. Up
to 160 characters can be transmitted per text
m essage. The character set is limited.
