3. Press RUN to obtain a trace from which the compare list will be composed . When in a compare mode,
the analyzer takes continuous traces . Press STOP to switch into single trace mode .
4. The list will be displayed on the analyzer in the [Full Compare] [Trace] List . A note above the states
listed indicates when the compare list is empty. The message at the top of the screen, "INSERT to store
compare image", indicates the displayed list may be entered as the compare image.
5 . Press INSERT and the entire list will be entered as the compare image. Notice that the note that was
previously displayed has been replaced with [Mark] Differences . The [Mark] field may be changed to
[Show] Differences with the NEXT[] or PREV[] key .
6 . Press RUN. The analyzer will take continous traces until a trace is not the same as the compare image
previously stored with the INSERT key .
7 . To re-observe the compare image, move the cursor to the [Trace] field and press the NEXT[] or PREV[ ]
key to select [Image] .
8 . To enter anew compare image, the display must be showing the [Full Compare] [Trace] List, which will
be the last trace that was captured by the analyzer . The message "INSERTto store compare image" will
be displayed . Press insert and the new image will overwrite the previously stored compare image .
NOTE
There are certain conditions that cause the analyzer to erase the compare image. If
the State Trace Specification menu is changed to [Single] or [Continous] and an
XY Chart or Waveform display is created, the list will be erased . If either SYSTEM
[Storage Operations] or [Peripherals] are selected, the compare image will be
erased . THE COMPARE IMAGE CANNOT BE STORED ON DISC MEMORY .
