Check board type at slot N45
On the View menu, click Display hardware settings only. Under the heading 'Modules and
assemblies in rack P7LC', look for the type of board at slot N45 and compare to the hardware. The
entry can be corrected in the dialog box Configuration / Services / Data communication / Data
ports by selecting 1 V.11 / up to 2 V.24 for P4LT and Up to 2 V.11 / up to 6 V.24 for P4LU.

Check license key on P4LT/P4LU
Depending on the desired services, an appropriate license key has to be installed on P4LT/P4LU.
The key is housed in a circular button-like device called 'iButton' and has to be inserted into its
socket (also called 'retainer') on P4LT/P4LU. Six different colors of the device exist. Refer to the
ETL600 instruction manual 1KHW001489 at the end of chapter 11 for more information. The
number of required MOD600 and NSK600 modems decides about the color of the needed license
key, which is displayed in the configuration file (View / Display hardware settings only./
Equipment identification / Needed license on P4LT/P4LU). License keys with colors offering
more modems than required will work as well. This is shown in the following table:

Check if the license key mounted on the P4LT/P4LU board is valid according to the table above.
If the license key is not sufficient or if no license key is installed on P4LT/P4LU at all, please
contact your local representative to ask about the update procedure.
When the new license key is available, proceed as follows:
Replace license key (if required)

The modules in this equipment contain devices, which can be damaged by
electrostatic discharges. Appropriate measures must be taken before
unpacking modules or withdrawing them from equipment racks. Essential
precautions to prevent ESD damage when handling or working on modules
are grounding straps for technical personnel and the provision of anti-static
workbenches. Modules may only be shipped either in their original packing
or installed in equipment racks.
Neither removing nor inserting of modules is permitted during power-up of
the equipment. Preceding to plug in and out of modules the power supply
of the equipment has to be switched OFF.
