1.2.8 Inter-character gaps in transmission: When serial interfaces with asynchronous character framing are used, this parameter indicates
whether extra delay is ever introduced between characters in the message, and if so, the maximum width of the gap. Where no asynchronous
serial interface is fitted this parameter is not applicable. In this case none of the options shall be selected.
