FUJITSU Storage ETERNUS LT260 Tape Library User's Guide -Server Connection-

In the [Edit Drive] page that appears, click the [Configuration] tab and check that the [Cleaning

Tapes Supported] checkbox is selected. If cleared, select it.

Click the [OK] button to go back to the [Manage Devices] page in the tree view mode.

When the drive becomes idle, click the name of the same drive again and select [Configure].

In the [Edit Drive] page that appears, click the [Generic Cleaning] tab and set the following

Generic Cleaning items.

When an LTO5 drive is used (model name: LT26ASHE, LT26ASHL, LT26AFHE, LT26AFHL)

Issue a load command to start cleaning cycle: on (the default setting is "on")

Use Generic Cleaning: on (the default setting is "off")

When an LTO6, LTO7, or LTO8 drive is used (model name: LT26BSKE, LT26BSKL, LT26BFKE,

LT26BFKL, LT26BSME, LT26BSML, LT26BFME, LT26BFML, LT26BSNE, LT26BSNL, LT26BFNE,

LT26BFNL)

Issue a load command to start cleaning cycle: off (the default setting is "on")

Use Generic Cleaning: on (the default setting is "off")
